With the release of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Defender Tribal is getting an upgrade!
In: The Walls of Ba Sing Se , Out: Shielded by Faith
The Walls of Ba Sing Se is the creature with the greatest toughness ever printed in Magic and a Defender that gives other permenents we control indestructible, so it is one of the best cards for our Defender Tribal, being both a top protection card and a top finisher. A must-have card that is just insane in our build.
Shielded by Faith gets cut because we needed to cut something and it plays a similar protection role (giving Indestructible) but it has less synergy with our build. It has much lower cmc but protects a single target, while The Walls of Ba Sing Se has a high cmc but protects all other creatures we own, while being a Defender and a top finisher for our build.
