With the release of Final Fantasy, Squirrel Tribal is getting an upgrade!
In: Quina, Qu Gourmet , Out: Vinereap Mentor
In: Pitiless Plunderer , Out: Underworld Hermit (bonus upgrade)
Quina, Qu Gourmet is a great addition for our Squirrel Tribal. Although it dosn’t go infinite with Chatterfang, Squirrel General as both are replacement effects and does not trigger each other, it is a perfect inclusion in our build, as it works just like Chatterfang but it creates Frogs instead. That means it has synegy with many cards in our deck and works wonders with our token creators.
Vinereap Mentor gets cut because it has less gravity for our build than Quina, Qu Gourmet.
Pitiless Plunderer goes infinite with Chatterfang, Squirrel General and results in infinite colored mana, infinite death triggers, infinite ETB, infinite LTB, infinite sacrifice triggers, infinite Treasure tokens and reduces each opposing creature’s toughness to 0. The combo can be explained in detail here (EDHREC).
Underworld Hermit gets cut because it has less gravity for our build than Pitiless Plunderer and costs more.
