Dion, Bahamut's Dominant

Knight Tribal Update : Final Fantasy

Update (Final Fantasy) :

With the release of Final Fantasy, Knight Tribal is getting an upgrade!

In: Gifts Ungiven , Out: Entomb (bonus upgrade)

Dion, Bahamut’s Dominant is a Flying Lord for Knight Tribal during our turn. On ETB we create a 2/2 white Knight creature token, while by paying at sorcery speed, it transforms into a 5/5 Saga Dragon that buffs our other creatures with Flying (until end of turn) and a +1/+1 counter at I and II, and at III it let us destroy target permanent while it returns front face up. Of course it is a top pick for our Knight Tribal!

Skyhunter Strike Force gets cut because Melee seems worse than Flying in most cases, and Dion, Bahamut’s Dominant is capable of producing much more value over time.

Summon: Primal Odin is expensive but powerful and a great target for graveyard recursion as it removes target creature on ETB. It is a 5/3 Saga Knight that on II gains “Whenever this creature deals combat damage to a player, that player loses the game” so it can be a finisher. Last but not least, at III we draw two cards and each player loses 2 life. Amazing value over time and great synergy with our Knight Tribal.

Ethersworn Adjudicator gets cut because it needs much more mana investment to shine.

Squall, SeeD Mercenary is a Double Strike giver as long as a creature we control attacks alone. Moreover, it is a great graveyard recursion engine, as whenever it deals combat damage to a player, we return target permanent card with mana value 3 or less from our graveyard to the battlefield. Great synergy with our Knight Tribal.

Duelist’s Heritage gets cut because it has less synergy with our build than  Squall, SeeD Mercenary, although it is a greater Double Strike giver.

Gifts Ungiven works wonders in our Knight Tribal, as it tutors four cards that will all be eventually available to us, either way (cast from hand or graveyard recursion). A must-have card for our build.

Entomb is a top card too, and is a great alternative to Gifts Ungiven.
