Kuja, Genome Sorcerer seems average at first, as it triggers at the beginning of our end step, creating a tapped 0/1 black Wizard creature token with “Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, this token deals 1 damage to each opponent”. It’s true power comes in its transformed form, as if we control four or more Wizards, it becomes a 4/6 Avatar Wizard that is a Wizard damage doubler. That works wonders in our Wizard Tribal and turns all our 4+ power Wizards and Wizards that deal any average non-combat damage into potential finishers. A great pick for our build.
Kasmina, Enigmatic Mentor gets cut because although she is a nice utility card for our Wizard Tribal offering protection and helping us a bit with card draw and board presence, she has less synergy with Wizard Tribal as she doesn’t count as a Wizard herself.
